The Train

Hello Americans!

This past week was interesting... All of our appointments fell through! So we did a lot of finding this week. And that's just fine!
It's all part of the work! :) it may not be anyone's favorite thing... But if it's for the Lord then it makes it worth it!

I think Wednesday last week Sister Kemsley and I went finding. Klingling apartment buildings walking up and down stairs over and over
haha! We definitely get our cardio for the day doing this! ;) (it makes up for all those eating appointments and schoko bons haha) We
had quite the experience though... In these apartments there is a staircase and the a little platform and two doors across from each
other. We Klingled one old lady and she comes to her door and opens this little tiny window in the door and pokes her head through it! We
said, "Hallo! Wir sind Missionare für...." *slam!* slams the little window shut! As sister Kemsley and I stand there in utter shock we hear footsteps getting quieter and then getting louder when suddenly the little old lady opens the door behind us!!! What the heck!?! It is seriously something you would only see in a cartoon!! She wasn't interested anyway... But it was pretty dang hysterical!! ;)

That same day we were able to talk to this old Ukrainian man about God on the street for like an hour!! He was really nice and proud of us
for what we are doing!! He wasn't interested in the end but it was cool to talk to him!! ;)

Saturday we had our Musikalischer Abend!! It was titled "Auf die Suchenach Gott" for those who don't speak the celestial language that
means, "On the search for God!" ;) We've been preparing for it for a while!! It was really a cool night. Basically it was a night for people to invite all of their non member friends and our investigators to a night filed with live musik and short films that talk about our beliefs. It was super cool how many non members showed up!! I have never sat in a chapel that smelled like cigarette smoke before!! It was rather different... ;) The missionaries who attended sang "Be
Still My Soul" and it was exciting to be apart of it!! Sister Knabe was in charge of the whole night and she put it all together very
nicely! It was awesome! We had a few investigators show up. Britta, who is so prepared for everything, came!! Her father passed away last year, she has a fear of death, and she is really interested in what we believe concerning life after death. She is scared to pray because it
isn't really normal for her and it is weird for someone who has never prayed to talk to God. But this Musikalischer Abend was perfect!!!!
The whole thing talked about prayer, and during the film it was about this little boy.  His dad died and his mother said he was with God and
so this boy went searching for God!!!! It was absolutely everything Britta needed to hear!!!! How exciting!?!? After the program was over
I went to go talk to Britta and she was crying. It was perfect for her.

Well it was a long week but a good one!! I'm heading to Berlin tonight which is exciting!! I love Berlin!! ;)

I hope you all have an amazing week!!!! I pray and think about you all every day!!! My heart is full because of the opportunity I have to be
in Germany serving the Lord. I'll make the most out of it!! This is truly the Lords work. I know that God loves all his children. I see this love every single day!! Have a great week everyone!!
