Hello World! (May 8, 2017)

Dearest friends and family,

This week was pretty good! Nothing too exciting has happened... but we
had a few good experiences!

Last week we were on exchanges with the Chemnitz Sisters! I stayed
here in Freiberg and Sister Maier came here! We had a jolly good time
together! We met with Carla which is always an adventure! ;) And we
went to ward Choir that evening! But unfortunately had to leave half
way through due to Ward Council. But it was a good day for Sister
Maier to be in Freiberg because we happened to run into some people
she knows from an earlier area! She served earlier in Bremen and there
was a small group from the Ward there visiting the temple! And we saw
them on the street and the next thing I know Sister Maier is running
across the street yelling their names! It was fun to visit with them!
And a cool tender mercy for Sister Maier!

Thursday hatten wir Interviews with President! So we headed to Dresden
early in the morning! It was fun to see the whole zone come together
for a little while as we all waited for interviews! It's always fun to
see old friends! :) Interviews went well!

Sunday we were sitting the the branch sacrament meeting and I notice
that a member is mouthing something to me... I had NO IDEA what she
was trying to say to me! And she is sitting across the room... so it
was especially awkward... I went and spoke to her after the sacrament
meeting and turns out her work colleague has a daughter who was doing
a report on Mormons for school! And a friend of the daughters was
doing the same thing... and all three of them had come to visit our
sacrament meeting! Which was cool! So the member had asked if we would
meet with them and answer questions and teach them about what we
believe! We agreed natürlich! ;) so we all sat down and Sister Wacker
and i taught the first lesson and answered their questions! It turned
out to be a pretty cool experience! The two girls kept giving each
other weird looks... (teenagers these days!) ;) but the mother seemed
pretty interested and kept asking really awesome questions! So who
knows what will come of this! We gave them all Book of Mormons! So
maybe that will spark some more interest! :)

Well, that's basically our week! We got to help Carla put more
ancestors in her family tree! So we will be headed to the temple with
her again soon! I can't wait! :) im so grateful that i am serving in
an area so close to the temple. And that i have the opportunity to
bring people there to have their first experiences in the House of the
Lord. It's pretty awesome! :)
